Registering to Bid and Administration Fee
All prospective bidders are required to register in advance, whether bidding in person, by proxy, or online. During registration, you will need to provide card details to facilitate the £1,395 Inc VAT Buyer’s Administration Fee should your bid be successful. A hold will be placed on your account a week before the auction, which will be released if you are unsuccessful. The fee is payable only upon winning the lot and is retained by Cooper and Tanner, separate from the deposit or settlement funds. Each lot purchased incurs a fee, and multiple lots will be charged accordingly. Following the auction, if you purchase more than one lot, further payments for subsequent lots will be requested. All legal and anti-money laundering checks must be completed satisfactorily before bidding approval, including proof of funds.
Fees
Potential buyers should note that additional costs may be payable to the Vendor’s solicitor upon completion, details of which will be specified in each auction pack. This information may not be available at the property’s launch and buyers are advised to review the auction pack thoroughly.
Deposit
The successful bidder must pay a deposit of 10% of the purchase price into the Cooper and Tanner Client Account within 24 hours of the auction. Account details will be provided at the close of the auction. Once cleared, funds will be transferred to the seller’s solicitor’s account.
